Home from Montana

We finally made it out of here the day after Christmas, only to get stuck in Montana!  The transmission died on my Explorer when we got there. I am so thankful that it made it there at least!  It really was a blessing in disguise since we were able to spend an extra week with our family. We were also there to say goodbye to my Brother-in-law as he was leaving for Iraq. 

Isn’t that the sweetest and saddest picture ever? This is him with his wife and his youngest daughter. I hope this year flies for them!!!

Of course I had plenty of free time to take pictures too!

The most talented family ever

Seriously. Let’s see, between the two of them they sing, play the piano, drums, guitar, harmonica, even the cow bell. lol! I know there are more, but I can’t think of the name of anymore instruments. Oh, they also write songs. On top of all that, Christie is also an amazing artist! She is working on a painting for me as we speak. I can’t wait!

His birthday is the day after Halloween so his costume got twice the use!

I decided to make the decorations this year and they turned out great. I made the treat bags and banners from felt. It was also my first attempt at cake decorating. Yum!

Advent Conspiracy

Halloween!!!

Mmmmm. Candy. I just love this holliday! Both of the kiddos dressed as pirates this year. I keep meaning to dressup, but I never do! Maybe next year:) Here is the family carving their pumpkins.

Here they are on Halloween in their costumes. William was a bit cranky. I did a big art project that day in Ally’s class, so he missed his nap. Not good! He ended up having fun anyway.

Ally went trick-or-treating with a friend from school and came home with a ton of candy. She had such a good time! I got some pictures of her with her friend, but I haven’t asked her mom’s permission to post them yet. I should have them up soon. William, Dave and I went to our annual Church Halloween party. Hay rides, prizes, a bounce house, a scary maze and lots of goodies. Such a blast!

Pumpkin Patch!

We threw on out mud boots and headed out to the Pumpkin Patch. It was such a beautiful, crisp fall day! William loved the hay ride. We went on it twice and he won’t stop talking about it! We also got to see the cutest baby cows! So precious.

We headed down to the fire station today with Christie and Sidney to visit Ben and see the cool fire trucks. William was so excited! He was so shy at first because he thinks firemen are so cool! It was like meeting a movie star for him!
